Seymour Duncan Artist and Their Pickups

MAYLENE & THE SONS OF DISASTER

Seymour Duncan recently caught up with Maylene and The Sons of Disaster backstage while on tour. The band has been tearing up the stages across the country showcasing songs from their third album entitled III released on Ferret Records. Soon they will be rocking all throughout Europe with Killswitch Engage, In Flames and Every Time I Die. First stop on the tour…Glasgow, Scotland and Seymour Duncan will be there and at every stop!
Joining the band for the first time is Seymour Duncan’s Twin Tube Mayhem Stompbox (SFX-04). Kelly Nunn, guitarist says, “This pedal is one of the best new pedals on the market. It allows me to have any style and sound I could ask for. It allows you to have a metal tone, rock tone and even a blues tone. I like the EQ. It doesn’t muddy up the mid range like other preamp distortion pedals. I run it in front of the preamp and it gives me the extra heaviness I need for certain songs. Not to mention having a tube saturation for that classic rock tone is a must. I will be using this for a long time. I couldn’t be happier with it!”
To finish out Kelly’s tone, he has the JB Model (SH-4) and the Alternative 8 (SH-15) with nickel covers installed in his guitar. The other guitarist, Jake Duncan, (no relation to Seymour but certainly part of the Duncan family), is an avid user of our pickups. The Little 59’s give Jake his “big tone and heavy low end” for that Southern rock sound. See what else he has to say in the video.
