Laura Pleasants

Laura Pleasants has a long history of playing guitar and writing music. She is the co founder of psychedelic sludge metal titans Kylesa who with them released 7 studio albums and toured the world consistently for almost 15 years. Elements of metal, punk, stoner rock and psych rock weave in and out of their sound. An avid fan of music and guitar, Laura started playing music on a regular basis while attending the Savannah College of Art and Design. In 2016, she decided it was time to do something different and started her solo project,The Discussion, which is rooted in post punk, gothic rock, shoe-gaze and psychedelic rock. She now resides in LA where she performs with the group and works as an art director and musician.
